Gaming Can the Wii play GC discs?

I dont have my Gamecube anymore but I still have my limited edition Zelda game with all the old games on it and I would like to know when I get my Wii if I can play the GC disc on it. I know there was some talk about it before but I dont know if things have changed.

Indeed it can, it's kind of neat how easily it accepts both media...just kind of sucks them in...XD

Yep. That's my plan too, I'm getting some used GC games too since I never bought a GC xD

yes can play GC game and you need a new controller:
Classic Wii Controller or GC controller

soon you can used Nintendo DS as wifi controller... why cable mate?

I didn't know about using the DS as a controller, but i vaguely remember you being able to connect the gba via cable to the gc and use that as a controller.

My mate had one and it was pretty cool at the time.

The Classic controller doesn't work for Gamecube games on the Wii.
