That is different than CTR Transferring a firmware from OLD to New 3DS, would brick it.

oh, i didn't know that until now. So the mere installation of an old 3ds firmware on a new 3ds firmware bricks. You have to reinstall it via CTRTransfer so that it doesn't brick
