Hacking Can sky3ds be used to downgrade firmware?

I have the new 3DS XL with the c stick that has the latest 9.5 firmware and I was wondering if the sky3DS can be used to downgrade to a lower firmware. Or are the sky3DS people so dumb that they did not implement a option to downgrade?


PS. if the sky3ds can be used to downgrade than I will use the gateway 3ds to hack the rest of the console.

Can't downgrade with the Sky3DS because it doesn't have Kernel access (even if it did it wouldn't work on 9.5 since there's no public Kernel exploit on 9.5). The Sky3DS works by emulating a real 3DS cartridge.

If you have Old 3ds/xl, you can downgrade even without gateway, but with new 3ds/xl you can't do it(for now)

uh this is not the PSvita the 3ds can't use hacked games to get access to anything. And sky3ds is dumb because if something like the region free option were to ever disapear than people can't downgrade and can't use gateway to get full access to the console.

He probably was speaking about emunand support(when gw update will be released) because 9.5.0 new 3ds uses a new encryption

I believe Yellows8 discovered how to decrypt Key X on firmware 9.5, but the firmware itself is not actually exploitable (yet).

The gateway was made for playing games and using some hombrew. It does its job. It was not meant for downgrading any 3ds.
That was something that was found out and turn out that it work and you could downgrade 9.0 firmware to a lower ver like 4.5

You fuss about something not working when you were miss inform on what it does. Then you called the company who made it dumb.

Thats like buying a blu ray player and calling the makers dumb because it doesnt play vhs tapes.

There is one way and that is to return it to the store or sell it and get a new one. Downgrading is impossible for the time being and won't be available until a new exploit is found for 9.5, and when/if that time comes, you won't need to downgrade.

N3DS consoles come with 9.0 out of the box, so if you got one with 9.5, it was either used or tampered with.
