Hacking Can I have multiple channels of the same thing?

I want to install the Super Mario 64 Multiplayer .wad although I already have the normal supermario64 on the virtual console. So I want to know what happens if try to install it.

had this installed a while back, pretty certain it had its own save and doesn't compromise your installed game

I have both installed and they work perfectly, the only problem would be if you have Sin & Punishment installed as a N64 VC channel, since SM64 Multiplayer saves it's progress as a Sin & Punishment save
