I havent been accompanying the switch homebrew for a while, so can you help me by answering the title?

You can run Nintendo Switch cartridge type 1 backups with SX OS.

You can load backups with a .xci file stored in the root of the sd card. But only if you have a license.

SX enables you to load your self-made backups as well as scene dumps. Don't ask for websites or share backups here, that's against the rules.

It will run most cartridge backups (.XCI) you find on the internet.
You will have to find/provide the backups yourself.

the sx os allows you to run backups but it won't magically give you free games ...

you could illegally download backups from games that other people uploaded (not here though) and use the sx os to run them, then you have "free" games

if it's a type 1 cart, you can play the backup. Most older backups are type 1. Check http://nswdb.com/ to see what the cart type is for a specific game.

If you have a backup of one of the games you bought or a backup illegally downloaded from the web you can run the backup as said before.
