Can anyone confirm ps4 controller works to go through hen install on ps3

Only sony ps3 controllers work to install hen. Learned that the hard way after trying to update hen. My ps3 controller is broken and trashed years ago. Looking to get the ps4 controller and connect to ps3 usb and install hen again.

I don't think you can use DS4 like at all on ps3 but you can use a dualsense with a ps3... Wouldn't recomend it, sticks aren't really well calibrated and some games won't even recognize triggers or even the Dpad.

I'm pretty sure you can use a PS4 controller on the PS3 through cable only.

You can use one but you need a PS3 controller to pair the PS4 controller.

Long Sotry short, you can... but its not ideal. Better look for a used Sixaxis.

Using my Dualsense as an example. MGS4 can't use triggers to swap items and weapons, MGS2 outright refuses to recognize inputs even when Peace Walker in the same Disc does, Ratchet and Clank movements with the analog stick feels like digital dpad inputs, any type of motion controllers are not working and you can't access the XMB Menu with the PS Button even if said button can be used to turn on the system, among other issues in multiple games.
