Is there a way for me to play Mario Maker on my 5.3.2 Wii U without updating? And if so, is there a way to go online with it?

No, and not until crediar's spoofer is released. Even then, you need to be on 5.4.0 to start the game.

Source? I thought I read somewhere on here that nothing changed from 5.3.2 to 5.5.0 that would prevent the games requiring higher firmware to load. So once the spoofer is released, the game should see the system on 5.5.0 too, unless something is missing from it (similar to eShop).

Yeah, but the thing is that if you update, you'll lose haxx because there's nothing released for 5.4.0 or higher, and there's no defined release date as of yet. And the spoofer, as far as I'm aware, is purely for online access unless it's been announced that game updates are also to be spoofed.

It's already been stated you can download game updates with it, so I don't see any reason they wouldn't work... Would be rather pointless otherwise. Not to mention you can't go online with most games unless the game is on the most recent version. And no one said anything about updating. Lol

Wait... I thought the spoofer allowed the loading of games on higher firmwares as well as online access. Not true? I'm on 5.3.2 and am holding out for the spoofer, then was going to buy Mario Maker. But if that's not how it works, then screw that lol.

From what everyone involved or not says playing games online and downloading game updates will be the extent of the soon to be released spoofer. I have Mario maker and 5.3.2 just wait it out, watch others play or go back to a Wii u game you have the time will fly if you work a day job...if not then it will probably feel like a lifetime
