Hi, I'm a multi-game Mario speedrunner, focusing mainly on Super Mario 64 and Odyssey.
I've found this nice project that lets you use your N64 gamepad through a Raspberry Pi Pico, and it works flawlessly.

It only has one problem: it doesn't work properly on SM3DAS becase Mario is set to jump with both A and B buttons and the controller cannot be remapped.

Now, I do have a modded Switch that I could probably workaround with, but I'd love to have this adapter function with any stock Switch.
That can be achieved "simply" by replacing the value of the B button with Y in the build files but...
How the hell am I supposed to build the whole thing afterwards? Of course I admit I'm a real noob at this. I have some general linux knowledge and was able to build a uf2 file but it was considerably smaller than the release and it didn't even work at all. Tried switching some values but I end up encountering errors.

How do I solve this?
