I dunno if this is a sort of place for fan games, but I've decided to release my scrapped monstrosity into the wild, Bubsy Rush, simply because I managed to find the last build I made in 2014 for some reason even though I scrapped the game in early 2013. This was a fan game I worked on for a bit using the Michael Engine until I decided it was a dumb idea and scrapped it entirely. The game was supposed to end up as a 2D platform racer where Bubsy would race different Woolies (and I even planned on making custom sprites for the different woolies).

Includes:
1) Mostly custom sprites I did in Paint (although a lot are either unfinished or placeholders)
2) Music from Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (which is placeholder)
3) A non-existent options menu!

Controls:
Arrow keys move Bubsy left, right, jump, glide and duck.
Number keys to select things on the Menu.
And W... which if you press in game does something annoying.

Was there a particular system's 'feel' you were trying to emulate? ie, how Shovel Knight tried to emulate the feel of a NES game?

Nah, a hit gives them mad meth powers, but makes them more difficult to control.

Just found out he's doing alright, doing a lot of complaining too, rightfully so. Who wouldn't complain after having a seizure and being hospitalized?
