Ok so I told him to do the steps and when he launches NASA from homebrew it freezes at a red screen in the bottom. He has tried 20 times now but we'll keep trying.
Try this!
CREATE A BACKUP OF THE SD CARD
Create 2 .txt files
Name one import.db and the other title.db (make sure they change into .db file extensions)
Then on the sd card, go into the Nintendo 3DS folder and there will be a folder or folders that are named random numbers and letters.
Go into them and see if there is a dbs folder. If there isn't, create one. All lowercase. (dbs)
Once you have created each one. Put the import.db and title.db in each dbs folder.
If you did this correctly, you should have a dbs folder in each randomly numbered and lettered folder. And each dbs folder, you should have an import.db and ticket.db.
Once you got that settled, go to the system settings with your sd card in and go to micro sd management. Then go to Nintendo 3DS. It will say that your sd is corrupted and that it will reset. Click ok and it will do it's thing. Once that's done, put the sd in the computer.
Take the Nintendo 3DS folder and make a backup of it on your computer. Now go into it and take out the dbs folder out of one of the random lettered folders and put it on the desktop.
Now restore the files you backed up in the beginning and open the Nintendo 3DS folder. Now put the dbs folder you put on the desktop in each randomly lettered folder! Replace the dbs folder of there was already one there!
Now try to install another .cia file to see if it worked!
