My problem is my tablet won't go past the Polaroid boot screen (the one with rotating circle). I have the p700 I can boot into recovery but I can't flash anything since I don't have a custom recovery. I tried factory reset but it didn't work. Any help please

Was it on stock OS? Maybe you could find an image for your tablet? Flash that one?
Oh, is it under warranty?
It's not under warranty. I tried to flash an update image through adb sideload but it said signature verification failed. Anything else I can try

Edit: it was on stock os

I don't know how to boot to download mode with this tablet. I tried holding down both + & - volume buttons but it only boots to recovery

In the past it was one volume button for recovery and the other for download/fastboot.

edit:

What kind of file do you have? Bin or zip?

Well right now nothing because I can't find the files I need. But I can't boot into download mode anyway.

Update: I tried doing 'adb reboot download' but all it did was reboot the device.
If anyone knows where I could find a Polaroid p700 stock rom let me know

I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them

    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically

I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip

They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful

Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source

I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm

At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.

considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges
