Hardware Bought a new HDD from amazon ... need guidence on how to proceed

As the topic says ... I just added a new hard drive to my computer. Its a 3TB WD green drive , just like one of the other green drives in my computer . Here's the thing . This drive seems to have a partition already on it. When I go to disk management under windows 10 currently , it lists the new drive as disk 1 2794.52 , 2048gb unallocated and 746.52 unallocated ( this is the new drive )... my other WD green drive , formatted and came from win 7 , lists that drive as 2794.52 129mb unallocated and 2794.39 as healthy. These are both the same types of drives .. Only difference is I bought the second one from tiger direct years ago and it came in the proper box etc. The new one I bought from amazon and I'm not liking the way it was packaged not to mention it was missing a sata cable and documentation. I'm not sure if this could be a knock off drive or could be something newer ...need some thoughts on how to proceed. FYI , it appeared to be factory sealed and the drive was highly rated
The last image will show what I'm talking about ... These are both WD green drives ... Why is the new showing up like this ?

These are called OEM drives, they just come in anti-static bag thats it. Online shopping you will have a high probability to get one instead of a retail boxed unit.
Can't you just right click and merge partitions in drive management?

Delete all the partitions and make one new partition.
That should net you the 2.7 TB that's available.

Ok. The reason for post was to make sure this isn't a suspect drive if you know what I mean. Suspect as in , win 10 should be showing all available drive space.

I got it working ... even in win 10 , GPT has to be enabled ... I didn't realize that .

Yeah, GPT is needed for anything larger than 2TB.

I forgot about that but at the same time I didn't realize it would be a issue with win10 ... I've only been running win10 since it was given to me as a free upgrade from win7ult
