I just went into my routers administer page and blocked the websites. I don't currently have my wii u, but will this also work?
People want to keep using the network for online and self-hosting purposesReally ? Why not just disabled the update like turn off the network?

There is no custom firmware so they can't know...Yes but I thought Nintendo would banned them for CFW like PS3, no ? Confusion.

You don't play online with Loadiine. You can only play online with games you own legitso how do you play wii u games online loadiine gx2 says its offline only or am I misunderstanding something
I have the same problem. Why have I followed this guide perfectly, but still can't block wii u updates? I tried DNS filtering, applying domain blocks on my router, using tubehax's dns on both primary and secondary, and nothing works. I really need some help guys
tagaya.wup.shop.nintendo.netI haven't updated the guide in forever, and there may be at least one more domain that needs to be added. @brienj I believe it was you who said that there was a URL that when blocked would make it so that the Wii U wouldn't ever even be able to connect to the list for updates in the first place, do you remember what that was?
Thank you. For anyone looking at this guide that is on 5.5.1, I HIGHLY recommend adding this to your list of domains, whether it be router blocking (recommended) or DNS blockingtagaya.wup.shop.nintendo.net
If an update comes out after you have blocked that address, your Wii U will NEVER know about it. However, if your Wii U already knows about an update before you block that address, it will still know about it, even after blocking it.
