I'm trying to upgrade my internal drive with CFW installed. From what I've been able to gather, simply replacing the new drive with a [usb stick+the same CFW] plugged in should format the drive and allow me to boot. However, I want to also keep all my savedata + profile + installed games. Is this possible? I don't mind ftp'ing the stuff to my PC and then ftp'ing them back but I'm not sure what to ftp and what not to ftp (would it work if I just ftp'ed everything?). Also, would the ps3's standard HD backup & restore tool work?

I've also read about using the Rebug CFW's HDD transfer tool but it seems there's some bug with wrong disk space so I'd like to avoid that unless someone can vouch for it.

Thanks.

Edit: I'm an idiot. Didn't see you mentioned Rebug's tool.
I'd expect it'd work fine, though.

Cloning to larger drives was also discussed here.
