Best emulators to use on Android?

I've never really looked into emulation on anything other than a PC or Pi3b before. On those the go to tends to be one or more of the retroarch cores. Is that also true for android or are there standalones that perform better? I'll be using a Poco F3 which has a SD870 if that makes any difference

What are you trying to emulate? Some good emulators on android are John GBA, Drastic DS Emulator and Citra.

But retroarch should probably work as well.

I've not really decided yet, probably a bit of everything that will run properly except for stuff like the Wii or DS/3DS where the difference in physical layout/controls make it a different experience.

I am also plan on using a front end. Either Dig or Launchbox. Having messed about a little it seems those can complicate things too. They wont work with certain emulators in android 11 or above.
