I replaced my original gray joy con shells (with extremerate metallic shells) because the area around the buttons became shiny/worn due to my sweaty hands, which was made even worse by attempts to “clean” said spots . I don’t eat while playing or play with dirty hands it just happens.

Anyway, I regret not buying basstop because the extreme rate shells look tacky and scratch very easily. (To be fair I got the “silver” ones) I want to get basstop but not if I’ll just eventually ware down the finish again (..only took a few months for my pro controller to become worn down around the buttons)

Anyone have the same issues as me that uses basstop shells? How do they hold up?

Dent and scratch are bound to happen, basstop one are better as they don't chip off, even though you can still get scratches on them but not very noticable if you use toothpaste to unscratch it a bit.
