No.
No. N64 can destroy ps in terms of power. Neither 3ds nor wii u have spec advantage and lack proper port for expansion. What if the Nx is really a expansion pak like for the N64,
It would explain why Nintendo said that they would still manufacture the 3DS, and WIIU.
Don't have to destroy my theory. but what if its like one of those things you have to send in your 3ds/wiiu, and then they replace things in the system.No. N64 can destroy ps in terms of power. Neither 3ds nor wii u have spec advantage and lack proper port for expansion.
While wii u read disc and only have usb 2.0, while 3ds cartridges do not have that kind of function. Sorry to break it to you but it is not remotely possible.Don't have to destroy my theory. but what if its like one of those things you have to send in your 3ds/wiiu, and then they replace things in the system.
DANG first time ive seen that.Plus expansion packs killed Sega. Nobody will be making that mistake again.

I think it is really more of which country to choose, and Nintendo is still japan based. Anything that support vulkan is enough to force through 3ds. If DMP does not have this kind of tech it would be suicidal for backward compatibility. And current gen doesn't offer much for BC.It makes sense to me. The Wii U is the evolution of the Wii which itself is the evolution of the Gamecube, and the Wii and Wii U are fully backwards compatible with their predecessors. I suspect the NX console will be an evolution of the Wii U, and it stands to reason the NX handheld would be the evolution of the 3DS. But only if the handheld is a dual-screen again. I don't know if Nintendo is committed to dual screens.

Connection like that requires beyond standard micro sub controller. Definitely doable but not cheap, and the graphic too, though high sells will accommodate. Controller part sound very exciting though width-changing screen is not impossible either. Nintendo has lots of different and contradictory patents. Despite everything, ps4 and xbox one need psn+/ xbox live gold to survive, or at least in the beginning.I was thinking to myself today, and I think I know what the NX will be
If you remember the "weird shape" touchscreen concept that was brought up in this thread earlier in the year, I'm guessing that was just a general proof of concept. However, I still believe it will be used in the final product.
The NX will be a traditional rectangular shape. However, the screen will take up the entire front face. It will most likely be 16:10 or 16:11 to accommodate for the four modular control notches cut out of the four corners. It is here that the free-form touchscreen will come in; the screen will continue around the controls and show HUD information pertinent to each control in every corner. This is where my theory ends if the console is purely portable.
However, my speculation continues if the console can be docked for extra power; if this is the case, the device will have either a micro USB port or a proprietary port on the bottom, and will slide into the dock much like you slide a power drill battery into a charger. From here, a faceplate can be added to the top over the screen if you do not merely wish to charge it; this will convert the four input modules into four controller ports and shut off the portable screen for maximized efficiency. In this mode, you have a decently powerful home console with a very small footprint
Why does it have to give up soc design? They didn't with the 3DS, and the SoC in that includes DMP's Pica200 for its GPU (1st-gen vs the M3400, which is 3rd-gen).Connection like that requires beyond standard micro sub controller. With m3400 Nintendo will have to give up soc design which is not optimal for mobile. Even PSV used soc.
Sorry, remembered seeing a separate gpu chip for 3ds when checking for teardown (or maybe I looked at ds), but seems my memories are wrong. Spec wise this should be on par with tegra x2 since pascal really only get 1.2 times with the same number of shaders compared to Maxwell, which means m3400 should be able to push a 720p to insane level though teraflop is a very odd thing. Why does it have to give up soc design? The Wii U has 4 USB ports and HDMI (which can handle some data). While a expansion kit might be a bit far fetched, using the back two ports with external power isn't completely out of the question for some type of expansion kit.No. N64 can destroy ps in terms of power. Usb 2.0. Pretty sure 3.0 will do, but 2.0 is not enough for today's standard(which include the wii u). Even hdmi has more that.
