can someone explain exactly how to install the NDS-Covers?

1. Download the nds covers from the first post.
2. Copy all the covers you want to use to /_bagui/covers/nds/ on your sd card
3. In your rom folder eg. /ds games/ create a file called "CoverArt.ini" and open it in notepad
4. Copy this into CoverArt.ini:
QUOTE[Cover Art]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/covers/nds
#image type
type = png
5. Save and exit the file, boot up your DS, browse to your games and you should have covers.

I tried this, As I do want to hide specific files from within my NDS folder....... It doesn't work.

Can you please add this feature???

It does work, I just tested it.

If you have a file called blahfile.txt in the /grah/hrah/rhar/ directory that you would like to hide, create a file called "hiddenfiles.txt" in the /_bagui/ folder and add this line:
/grah/hrah/rhar/blahfile.txt

then save the file. That file should be hidden the next time you run bagplug.

how many covers are in the pack or to wihch games goes the covers in the pack?
There are over 5000 covers, so almost all the games have covers. You can pick and choose which covers to use.

Maybe its the type of file I am trying to hide.... I am trying to hide some .nds and .plg files..... because its still not working

The folders I chose are hidden, but None of the .nds or .plg files are hidden, they are still in the list. Here is exactly what my hiddenfiles.txt is:

CODE/_bagui
/_dstwo
/_dstwoplug
/BAGSFC
/CATSFC
/NDSGBA
/GBC
/NES
/Skin Maker 0.48
/LemmingsDS
/DS Games/GBA.PLG
/DS Games/CATSFC.PLG
/DS Games/LAMEBOY.nds
/DS Games/nesDS.nds
/DS Games/PokeDexterDS.nds
/DS Games/Pokemon Diamond.nds
/DS Games/Pokemon Pearl.nds
/DS Games/Pokemon Platinum.nds
/DS Games/Pokemon SoulSilver.nds
/DS Games/Pokemon HeartGold.nds
/DS Games/Pokemon Black.nds
/DS Games/Pokemon White.nds

The reason I am hiding these files is because they are in my favorites list.... I don't want them on my card "twice"

folders to hide go in hiddenfolders.txt and files go into hiddenfiles.txt -two separate files.

I am positive that hiding files work, you so far are the only one with the issue.

Hiding files works for me aswell.

Bag, i have a question about the custom icons. Must they be saved as *.ico or just be a *.png renamed to *.ico? I tried everthing but i can't get it to show up.
And just an idea, why not use png and a new entry in the coverart.ini?

The icons are just regular bitmap files renamed with a .ico extension. I may just switch completely to strictly png files instead as bitmaps are kind of useless these days.

Custom icons:
-uses 32 x 32 bitmap files
-must be named the same as the file with a .ico extention in the same directory eg OR they can be placed in a directory
as defined in the current skin.ini under "Custom_Icon_Folder".
eg:
BAGSFC.plg - the file you want to have a custom icon
BAGSFC.ico - the icon file

both .bmp and .png files are not working. My bmp and png are 32bit format and i have renamed the files extension (.ico). My path in skin.ini is pointing to /_bagui/custom_icons/.

What i'm doing wrong ?

Ok, I have the hidden files working.... I had the hiddenfiles.txt name wrong.

There is another problem though....Screen display (on 3DS) The bottom lines of pixel (on both screens) seem to duplicate. It never happens in the official menu, or in any game after it's launched. Here is picture of what I mean:

dsc00566u.jpg

Sometimes it does the same for me, sometimes not.

I do not own a 3DS so I cannot test and or make fixes. Also it is not up to me to ensure that Nintendo properly emulates its previous consoles hardware.

Basically any Nintendo 3DS problems are not of my concern as they are out of my area of interest / capabilities to try and fix what may just be a Nintendo issue.
