Hi,

I just sold my WiiU to someone.

I had a game called "Yoshi Go!" on it. It had the name Yoshi Go.

I was looking into making it Softmodded using the Game but never went through.

I just want to ensure myself, and my buyer, that:
If Yoshi Go still has the name Yoshi go.. it isn't softmodded and can't cause any harm?

Thank you,
Stephanie Hallberg

That sounds like a really old method.
I doubt it's softmodded with cfw since you never performed any action with any tool or installer etc?

Why does he not want it to be modded?
There's actually alot of benefits then being unloaded.

If we don't consider piracy. I would hate to load my games from a disc. Takes longer, more issues.
It's just very handy to have the entire game library on your home menu.
Plus with a modded console even GameCube games can be played very well.

I'm not trying to convince you. Just inform that a modded Wii u is safe to use, even online aslong you don't cheat. And extends the consoles abilities and speed aswell.
Otherwise system restore? What firmware are you on?
Damn I love my modded Wii u. :)

It doesn't matter anyway if you installed Yoshi touch and go with your NNID. The new user would have to have your NNID login info to make it work. If the new user sets up a new fresh NNID that game won't be available to the new user.

If you installed CBHC since that is tied to your NNID if the buyer removes your profile it can brick the Wii U.

Do you get a message saying CBHC v1.6 by Fix94 or something similar in the upper left corner of the screen when you boot?

If not then you can safely remove that profile and the new buyer won't be affected.

WELL,
Consider he had a friend with him and told me now when i called to check if all as OK that he is a Police Officer.

Im Kinda glad i didnt hacked the console...

He gave me some strange looks when i told him about Wii U and Yoshi Go... now i know why .. (phew)

Like.. i have a modded WIi. A hacked Ps3 and kodi on Apple tv and illegal games on the pc. In the same living room.

Yes, im a little scared now

Not for the Wii U sure, but for pirated content they definitely can if the cop decides to be an asshole.

Also a cop showing up to help someone buy a secondhand item kind of seems like abuse of power Maybe that's just me.

Then the cop shouldn't identify himself as a cop. He's just as safe without using his position to intimidate people.
Hey , i was only saying that he did that ti avoid any possible Wii u owner's swindle

I wasn't justifying him
