Hello there:

I have been, for several days, comparing my screens to your screens in this thread, and I can't understand what I'm doing wrong... I have unzipped the folder "NPJH50473" in ppsspp/textures (a new folder I created in the folder where the PPSSPPWindows.exe is) and in Documents/ppsspp/psp/textures (a new folder in the folder where the SAVEDATA and COMMON folders are).

So, what am I doing wrong? Or is everything all right?

This are my settings, and this is what I see:
(Window Size x4 and Full screen)

1) Could it be because I'm using Guren's English translation patch?

2) I wouldn't want to be a nuisance, but I'm a bit lost... is this the HD Status screen for Lloyd Bannings, or is it the original one?

3) I'm using ArcenCiel's texture pack, and the folder NPJH50473 is in Document\PPSSPP\PSP\textures\, but it doesn't look any different to how it looked before...

Yes, it is...

I tried adding a big TEXTURE FILE text line (using Paint.net) in red to chrimg04.png (the one with Wazy) and I didn't see it in game, so I think the folder is in the wrong folder...

But I can open textures.ini, so I'm lost...

No, there is no double folder...

My texture path looks like "ppsspp\memstick\PSP\TEXTURES\NPJH50473" I think yours should also look similar. But I am not sure why it's not working for you.

I'm using PPSSPP for Windows 10. There's no memstick folder. Should I create one? And where is the ppsspp folder? In Documents?

Memstick folder should be created in where you installed PPSSPP. it will be created when you open PPSSPP for first time

I assure you, there's no memstick folder in the installation folder... Is it hidden?

Maybe it's hidden, maybe it's generated in your PC's Documents folder. But I myself just did a clean install of emulator to and after first startup my folder looked like this.

I then inserted texture pack where it's supposed to be and, for me it worked.

So to get your textures to display you need to find where the memstick folder is. You might just need to make it manualy for it to work, but I'm not sure on this point.

Ok, this is madness...
I uninstalled PPSSPP, re-installed it...

There is no memstick folder: not in the folder where you have it, not in Documentos/PPSSPP...

Uninstalling, delete Documentos/PPSSPP and everything in it...

Reinstalled: no memstick folder.
Start PPSSPP: no memstick folder.

I have manually created a memstick folder in the installation folder (the one where the "assets" folder is) and put the NPJH50473 folder there. I'll see what happens...

Ok, time to take a rest. I didn't made a copy of my saved games, and I have lost them... Thanks god I was just at the beginning of day 1.

So, first fight in the game... Does this look like the textures from the pack to you? Yes? No?

Ok, opening textures.ini has created a new folder called TEXTURES with a folder called NPJH50473... I'm going to try unpacking the textures inside this folder...

And this is how it looks now...

Doesn't look like it's active. The party member font below profiles is unchanged.

Does the folder where texture.ini file is located looks like this after exctracting everything?

If yes, then make sure Replace Textures setting in Tools > Developer Tools is checked.
Also game needs a Hard Reset to apply any changes you make. so after you check all that restart emulator and turn on game again. (loading a save state is faster way to check if anything actually changed.)
