On PS2, you could force a display mode in OPL when loading a game, or use GS mode selector, all the way up to 1080p@60hz. However I’m loading my games in ISO format through Webman on my PS3. Is it possible to force 1080p or at least 1080i/720p?

I imagine this might be done by patching the ISO, or using cheat codes, or somehow loading GS mode selector or another homebrew .elf to set the video mode before returning to the game. I just don’t know how to do it, if it’s even possible.

EDIT: Accidentally posted in “PS3 - Games and content”. Thanks to the admins for moving it here!

There’s a native upscaler in Game Settings on the normal PS2 emulator on a CECHC, but I’m uncertain if it will apply since I don’t have a modded PS3. You could probably give it a go though.
