Hardware Any retail XOne can be a devkit

I've just heard an interesting thing. Apparently any retail XOne could be modified to be a devkit. M$ thinks everyone is a developer, so if indie devs want to create new games and such, then they won't need to buy a devkit, they can "simply" convert their console to be one. This is because they say "everyone is a creator".

My personal opinion is that I think with this the console may become easier to be hacked. Also if these newer consoles (PS4, XOne) will have a PC-like architecture, won't they become easier to hack? We'll see...

Leaving it hackable so people buy the thing? I guess they'll do anything when desperate.

They better do this with the ps4 so when I make my games, I can port it to the ps4.
