I want to play a (legal) game online on my switch. I've never gone online on OFW, so now I'm following a guide to clean my sysnand so nintendo won't ban me. The problem is I need to update the firmware to play online (I'm on 6.1.0 I think). I guess that will burn fuses, but is it really a problem? I have homebrew on emunand.

p.s.: I have AutoRCM

Burning fuses just means you can't go back to previous firmware that has a higher fuse count.

Ask yourself the question- Will I ever need to be back on older firmware? If the answer is no, then it isn't a problem.

A few peoples think it is better to keep the fuse counter low or to stay on a lower firmware because they think hackers will find a new way to exploit the system. This is bullshit when they have a fusee gelee unit. This exploit is almost the "holy grail" like kate said. What i want to say is, when you can use cfw, your fuse counter doesn't matter because cfw works even when the firmware is too low for the fuse counter.

  • If you don't care about future exploits, then you can update and burn your fuses. It won't matter.
  • If you do care about future exploits, then you should use one of the available methods to update to 9.1.0 on your clean NAND without burning fuses.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I want a 120hz 4k tv but crazy how more expensive the 120hz over the 60hz are. Or even more crazy is the price of 8k's.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
