It's time.
After 3 whole years, it is time for another round of animals killing each other in cold blood.
Many will try - only one will win.
Unlike the GBAtemp Hunger Games, instead of just saying you're in, you have to pick an Animal Crossing villager or character. It can be your favorite, or you can choose Tom Nook if you're still a moron. A full list of villagers in AC: New Horizons can be found on the Animal Crossing Wiki here. A list of the special characters are here. Older villagers are allowed if you can remember them.
Just like the GBAtemp Hunger Games, the Animal Crossing Hunger Games uses the BrantSteele Hunger Games Simulator, which is random and fully based on luck - and can potentially get very frustrating due to your villager doing the stupidest shit and then dying from it. No input needed, all you need to do is reply with a villager, and you're all set. The game begins soon, so be sure to get your placement ensured before someone nabs it first. Although this is Animal Crossing themed, keep in mind this is still fully vanilla, meaning there will be no special events added to the mix.
