Gaming About Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions

I'm currently playing Bowser's Minions, but when I battle, I don't feel like I'm doing... anything at all. Am I doing something wrong? Is this the whole "Bowser's Minions"?

If you dont have a good team you simply lose

Compared to the Mario & Luigi battles, Bowser's minions battles will feel exactly how you described. There's not much to do but wait for those flashes that tell you to press A to get a stronger hit. And those are random, so yeah it feels like the player does very little. Half of the "gameplay" is found in the menu where you build your army and sort your troops. HOWEVER, I enjoyed playing it because of the fun and slightly humourous dialog and story that explains what happens to Bowser while the Bros are in the main game.
