You foolishly (OK, you probably didn't anticipate such an exploit back then ;) ) installed a frankenfirmware, by updating via gamecard

Userland homebrew exploits are very sensitive to the version of certain system titles (such as Home, which was updated to the version bundled with 7.2) and the exploited app (which, as a non-critical system app, is still at the version bundled with -4)

Use some other exploit, there's no shortage of them (ntrboot, seedminer, ...)

-4 should be from 2.1, the browser may be vulnerable to the 2xrsa exploit, but that too may require a combination of titles to actually run a program from the SD

The "browserhax classic" (go.gateway-3ds, loadcode.dat, similiar names) was never exploited on the 2.1 browser (and yes it needs other pieces in the chain)

The "Homebrew Launcher (Soundhax)" Method says 9.0 and up, could that sill work?

Not sure what 11.9 breaks, if you do system update you gonna be on 11.9, maybe try NTRboothax.
That requires me to buy a flashcart, not an option.

Soundhax was fixed in 11.4 and above, not that it matters to you since you can't do a full update to a version less than newest (unless you have a modded console in the first place)

If you really don't want a flashcard (i.e ultimate recovery tool), go for seedminer

Does it work with 11.9.0? Since if I update that's what I'll get right?

Alright, Frogminer is what I want right? it's Seedminer but free?
Yep, that one works too (it's actually a specific variant of seedminer - due to how the console works, once you can run homebrew in DSi mode all security is effectively bypassed, and so are those pesky dependencies of 3DS-mode exploits)

Renewed is like following Psi around on his dates, then when he done doing the deed, he taps me in without her cleaning up first, no thanks

Somethings maybe, but drives are rated in hours, so most likely many hours already on them. I just don't trust em for data. Maybe a used(renewed) car or something be ok tho.

I mean almost every first party switch title of the past year or two leaked at least a week in advance for a while now haven't they?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not all of them, but yea many.
  • Quincy @ Quincy:
Metroid prime 4 I wouldn't be surprised if that title will be a SwitchU title (here's hoping Nintendo won't go with such a ridiculous name again)
