so i uninstalled the gateway by putting in pokemon black 2 ds card then i formated the sd and everyything was fine. i go to put my pokemon x in and it says game save data corrupted and wont let me start a game or a new game?!?

yea its 7x something.. it was workign earlier till i uninstalled gateway from my 3ds.. its the retail card not rom btw.. its been patched to 1.2 after it happened

Why would you do that anw -_-
Anw, your save can only be read by a EmuNAND system since the moment you created that save on your EmuNANd. No fix for this atm.

well since im off gateway i contacted nintendo will i be able to go to gamestop and exchange it?

i have my nand backup on my pc

By that I meant you will lose your save and there's no way to get it back.
If you're OK with that just erase the save. Read the manual for instruction.

I have a 3ds xl at version 4.1.0 and I heard region free and system spoofing doesn't work on it, so I have to use a game cart to update or with gateway 1.0 I can run a game with 4.5 update and accept it?

it doesnt even get to the game icon after 3ds screen it goes to taht corrupted screen i cant figure out what to do?

you need to have your 3ds hard modded (soldering 4 wires to the motherboard, and then to a microsd to sd card)

You'll have to do the hardware mod as described in http://gbatemp.net/threads/nand-flash-dump-3ds-xl.350668 or find someone to do it for you. On the XL it's not that hard though (still: some soldering skills are required).

I very recently sourced a 3DS XL that is fortunately still on 4.4.***U.

I want to transfer over my legitimate stuff (not least of which, the ambassador data) over to my new XL... but everything I read so far indicates that nintendo will try to force me to update. Is this true? Is there a way to migrate the data over without being prompted/nagged to update?

If it is indeed required to update, would using emuNAND with one of the current crop of flashcards (like the Gateway) alleviate that problem? If so, how would I then run the transferred games on the new handheld?

I think GW 2.0b2's EmuNAND supports System Transfer, but you might want to look up on that.
As for running it, just run it.

You're trolling right? Lol downgrade to 3.0 or you stand to brick. 3.3 is based on Gateways 2.0b2 which is compatible with emuNAND 7.1... Don't know if R4 supports that? Or classic mode?
But seriously.. Downgrade and No it won't be compatible yet.

3.3 is 1.2 IIRC.
