Hello, I was wondering for some time if there are out any 3D Trailers that I can watch on my 3DS as 3D and where can I download them. Also I lack the knowledge of how to actually watch them, do I get to watch them through 3DS camera at the same place where I watch the pics? Meaning that I get to put the movies at the same place I put the images?
Or all of this is limited to cartridges? Meaning that there is no way to watch anything else that pictures?

Thanks in advance!

I remember in the 3ds shop there was a starfox 64 3d trailer somewhere that was actually in 3d. The shop and nintendo video are probably going to be your only sources of 3d videos for a while

You can watch 3D trailers only with the Nintendo Video application and on the eShop. You can't watch your own videos. For more information visit nintendo.com

No confirmation - but my guess would be that you can watch your own videos AFTER the November major firmware update which brings video recording functionality.

yes, but only videos MADE with the 3DS video recorder. it would have to be hacked then before we can probably start putting in 3D trailers/movies there.

Interesting, however I don't plan to update my system in this lifetime to gain access to the possible future hacks...

in any case, we'll know for sure when it comes. i wouldn't be surprised though if playback is limited like that.

it would be damn nice if Nintendo decides to use a format that is already being used by current 3D titles (BluRay 3D, for example). and that, like the Nintendo 3DS Camera, we can just copypasta those files in their respective folders and the app will read it just fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.

I live maybe 3 minutes from a Dairy Queen, so I would just go there for ice cream anything anyways. I usually get the Oreo Blizzard, or a Peanut Buster Parfait.
