Nothing really. All I remember that it was working super fine, and I never misuse it. I googled and find that it could be due to the USB ports... which is odd, because I don't use those. What’s it do when you press the power button. Make the description as accurate and detailed as possible.
As I said, nothing. I even tried by pressing the eject button to turn it on. No ding, no green dot, no splash screen... nothing.Does it ding? Does the green dot come on? Does any boot splash screen display? Does it have a 4GB storage? Can’t help unless you give us information. Would you just ask a mechanic why your car won’t start? Or would you tell them what it does when you try starting it like noises or smells?
Slapping?Try another power brick if you can borrow someone’s. If you can’t try slapping the one you have kinda gently. If neither works and you aren’t afraid to disassemble it, try reseating the ribbon cable from the faceplate to the RF board.
Not the phat power brick's, but the cheap 10$ Chinese ones for the slims, a light slap will sometimes get it going for a little bit longer. It'll still have to be replaced though. It is a cheap Chinese power brick after all. As for the ribbon cable, idk what the console's condition is, what has previously been done to it, if it's been knocked around, or a thousand other variables in this. While I'd agree a ribbon cable issue is highly unlikely, it's not unheard of. But in the end, I bet it was a power brick.Slapping?
That wont do anything..at all...
The ribbon cable wont be the issue either unless he has opened it previously. Its the power brick it needs to be replaced
