I've only ever ripped games to the internal hard drive.

IN any case, woke up today, deleted the update data that it asked me to install when I played off the disk. Now I can actually play it off the hard drive.

I've spent my entire day backing up my PS3 game collection to my new external HDD (and my Wii collection, but that only took an hour and a half). kmeaw's CFW, Multiman 1.15.04. No problems, even though a couple games had to have files split. I'll probably have to move those two games to internal to play, but at least it's quicker to copy between HDDs than from BD-ROM.

Now I can play games with either Gaia or Multiman - whichever works better.
