Hacking 11.4 NTR Streaming

Forgive me for asking this, but i only recently started using a 3ds with BootNTR streaming functionality for my streaming needs. Got it off Ebay, did all the installing and such to stream to my pc, worked great until recently.

I accidentally updated my 3ds to the new firmware 11.4, and after finding out there was an update to BootNTR, i updated thinking the streaming would fix then... didn't. Did more research and discovered that the streaming function was borked on 11.4 until an update or fix to the streaming function could be found.

I saw several suggestions referring to 'downgrading' but that's impossible since i don't have a backup of my 11.3 firmware (remember i am rather new to this stuff).

My streaming has been broken for almost two weeks now, and I just want to know 'if' a fix for the streaming function is in the works (just to put my mind at ease) or if should look to saving up and purchasing another 3ds off ebay that 'is' capable of streaming.

yes i saw that link as well, but when i try to click on one of the CTRNAND-Transer File links, nothing happens, i don't download anything.

They are magnet URL's for a torrent program. That is how to obtain them.

Edit: I guess they are magnet URI's? URN's?

They are magnet links. You need a torrent client that supports magnet links.

Because you bought this system pre-modded, then you aren't aware that the guide mentions how to download magnet links.

Okay before i actually try this procedure now that i've gotten the files, i have one or two questions.

1) the 3ds i use that has borked streaming, also has my Pokebank on it... is there any risk doing this with that on it? - like will i lose anything on my pokebank (i used ntr to stream sun/moon)

2) is there any word of a fix in the works for 11.4 streaming? or is it all just implied or believed... i'm just wondering so i can put my mind at ease

1) Downgrading your firm will have no bearing on your pokemon bank. It's tied to your NNID, so as long as you don't get that removed/banned your pokemon will always be on the server and linked. However, since Pokemon Bank requires the latest firmware to access, you'll need ctrhttpwn to bypass the update nag.

2)The fix requires an update to the NTR module itself, not just the boot protocol. Every time there is a new update bootNTR is updated to include the new HomeMenu changes, the program itself is only updated by the creator @cell9. So when/if the dev gets around to fixing it is when it will be implemented. We don't know.

I would suggest creating an emunand and doing the ctrtransfer to that.

Okay so i have downloaded the 11.3.0-36U_ctrtransfer_n3ds files (i'm assuming the U stands for US, correct if wrong), but i'm still slightly afraid of doing anything that might damage my 3ds.

@Majickhat55 I know you probably answered, but please, i'm an idiot, assume i didn't understand the answer.

The 3ds i used to use for streaming i purchased off ebay, however i purchased from the Nintendo Eshop 'PokeBank' on that 3ds, and currently have stored roughly 200+ Pokes on it (mostly breedjects). I'm planning on pulling them out and trading them to someone i trust to hold them since the games i use are all physical cartridges that i purchased, before i do this so i minimize the risk of anything lost. Is there any risk at all to me being unable to use my Pokebank if i perform this downgrade, going from 11.4 to 11.3, because 'thats' the main concern for me right now, even more so than the being unable to stream.

I'm more than willing to wait for a fix/update to the NTR Streaming to come out, i'm just really nervous/afraid of making a mistake even 'if' i follow the steps.

and yes i am actually praying that Cell9 or whoever made the streaming capabilities is actually working on a fix...

Now im in 11.3.0-36E but FBI, NTR, Freeshop,all of them are white-cube-thing and when launching them, my 3ds restarts.

Did you follow those steps and everything worked out fine, and do you have Pokebank? If so can you tell me if it works fine? thats the real worry i have so far before actually trying that 3Down method myself, is losing my Pokebank.

as the guide says you have to put the decrypt9 arm9 payload into /luma/payloads

I did i put it in the luma/payload but after hitting start it brought me to the reg 3ds menu, am i supposed to click that luma icon to launch?
