How does Gbatemp keep ties with Nintendo and other companies?

Being a site mostly related to hacking and piracy, how is it that we get news directly from Nintendo at times, get review copies, and get accepted to E3?

It's something I think about fairly often given our humble beginnings. The site itself doesn't necessarily condone piracy, and makes a point out of keeping the forums clean of warez. The connections and trust required for review codes and such are things I'm sure took time to build, but thanks to the dedication of Thug and each generation of Mag Staff, we've proven ourselves somewhat. You also have to think about the sheer number of users on the site, that probably plays a large part too lol.
