ROM Hack Is there a PKHEX that can edit ultra sun/moon .SAV files generated by sky3ds?

I mean like when you plug the sky3ds into the PC, and access the .SAV file directly.

I ask this, because the version that supposedly supports editing ultra moon saves keeps giving me this "input file is too large" bullshit error, meaning the .sav files it is set to edit, don't include sky3ds.

Is there one that someone coded to edit sky3ds saves for ultra sun/moon?

I don't think there has ever been a PKHex that supported Sky3DS saves, I don't think there ever will be.

any particular reason for this? It can't be that hard to do for someone who knows how to hack.

Raw 3DS saves like the ones used on the Sky 3DS are encrypted using the private header of the ROM, and some other stuff. As far as I know, there has been no research conducted on decrypting them. It's far easier on everyone to just use something like JKSM to let the 3DS take care of the save encryption.

When did you get a Sky3DS? Because the money used for that could've been used to get you an NTRBoot card, and you'd have enough to buy a Gen 7 game legitimately. Either way, CFW is much better.

i used my first sky3ds to put cubic ninja.3ds on there and used that to do my ninjahax to get CFW

so, they will get pissed if you have the system the better way, but not pissed if you use a cart that require you to go to shady sites filled with ads to download ROMs?

anyway, use SKY3DS to load cubic ninja to load entry exploit to launch the hombrew launcher then use a backup save app to backup your pokemon save.

You could just fib and say the NTRBoot card is for playing DS games. Your Sky3DS plays 3DS games, NTRBoot cards are DS flascharts. Also with Sky3DS and what you want to do, isn't it kind of hacking? You want to edit a save, that's hacking, it's using unauthorized (by Nintendo) software to change things in a game's save. "Poor" is a poor excuse, DS flashcarts that NTRBoot compatible are not expensive anyways. I got mine for $20, and this was months before cheaper compatible ones were revealed.

Too poor to get a $20 cart? Even as a college student? My sister is going to graduate school and I'm sure she can by such a cart. The benefits far outweigh the cost anyways,
