Hi i'm still trying to figure out how to use Nintendont/USBloaderGX. everytime I try to exit out of nintendont I get some error message about a stack dump and it says it's going to reload but it never does. Holding down the power button won't even turn it off and the only way I can turn the console off is by literally pulling the power cord from the console..

If I try selecting anything it just does that exception DSI error occured thing. If it matters it's using IOS58.

How do I fix this? and do you actually play backups from nintendont or USBloaderGX?

I remember that I had exactly the same issue like you are describing. I fixed it with another release of Nintendont. Unfortunately I cannot find the URL where I have downloaded it right now any longer. However I will attach the boot.dol I'm using to this post, in the hope that I'm not violating any rule by doing so. Just place the file in sdcard:/apps/nintendont/ and I guess it will work for you, too :)

Don't unplug your power cable, just hold power button for one minute and it will forcefully turn off.

Tried that. Still not working. This is what I see: (had to put gyazo links because when I uploaded the pictures the links looked broken for some reason) https://gyazo.com/a7acbeb49bef4359278febeb649a8938 https://gyazo.com/bf3c125e89bacc1750350331ca5407b6

This didn't work either. Still had to forcefully unplug the console.

Pretty sure I have everything where it should be.

ios58 should be correct. USB Loader GX is kinda like a frontend to Nintendont. u still need the Nintendont boot.dol on ur sd card. r u sure ur using Nintendont and not trying to use dios mios? I believe there's a selector in usb loader gx for this. also, have u tried loading Nintendont by itself?

I don't understand what you mean by "load nintendont by itself" I don't know what you're talking about regarding mios dios. The term sounds familiar but it's been so long since iv'e messed with wii stuff.

u can load nintendont from the homebrew channel. dios mios is an antiquated way of running gamecube games. I think it might set to dios mios by default, but it's been a long time since I messed with usb loader gx's settings.

I changed the loader setting to Nintendont and I went to nintendont and pressed A but it still did the same thing.

I really need better advice guys. I can't keep unplugging my console like this something is gonna mess up if I keep doing this.

So loader IOS is IOS 249, game's IOS is also 249. Gamecube source set to auto, Gamecube mode changed to nintendont, https://gyazo.com/dcaf95d6bba60fd8b208d9e73f9d4eec is this all correct?

I should also mention from nintendont I choose SD(can't use USB)

Where in USB loader GX do I see if it's set to dios mios?

I don't recall actually. it will be in gamecube settings, so search in the settings. dios mios doesn't work on the wii u I believe, so that's definitely something to check.

well what do you know all the reseting finally destroyed something: My gamepad. Pretty sure I short circuited it or something from all the restarts..

All the frickin console had to do was turn off. Why is it so hard for this POS program to work?

r u sure the gamepad is destroyed? make sure usb loader gx is set to nintendont and that nintendont is located in the correct directory labeled boot.dol most likely. place ur gamepad on the charger u get with the system. that's where my gamepad always is unless I"m playing a game that requires it. I usually use the pro controller otherwise.

Yes I did all that and no it doesn't work. I think having to unplug over and over is what caused it.

Everything is in the right place right?

Pretty sure that's all correct..

Anyway i'm not sure if it was a direct cause but i'm pretty PO'd that this happened. I guess it gives me an excuse to get a higher capacity battery(if that's even what's wrong with it i'm praying it's not a gamepad issue and just the battery issue.)

I see the card is named "EMUNAND9SD" which I guess means its not a standard FAT32 drive but instead an SD with extra partitions. Either get a new SD then if you want to keep that extra stuff OR do a full format by first deleting all partitions and just creating one logical, primary FAT32 one. Nintendont really does not like drives that do funky things with partitions so that is most likely the problem here.

I can't remember why I named it that. I think it was actually for when I was modding something else. So you're saying reformat it to FAT32(which it might be anyway?) and how can I check if it has multiple partitions that need to be erased?

Also are you saying that it has to have a piece of the SD card as FAT32? i'm confused and haven't had to make multiple partitions for a long time..

edit: huh nevermind just saw the second picture, yea maybe just try a second SD then... it must be some very weird messed up partition header that nintendont cant parse thus crashing because it thinks no device at all is inserted.

Partition header? so if I get a different SD do I have to make seperate partitions or can I just reformat the whole thing as FAT32

that wont fix any low level partition problems though since it only does a format right?
Well, I used it to format a SDCard ripped from an Old3DS having Gateway Emunand installed on a second partition ... how many more low level partition problems could you possibly have? ;)
I would definitely give it a try ... cannot hurt before investing money in new stuff, right? :D

Should I check quick format or does it matter.
