@EmulatorLover have you tried weighting the characters before exporting? Captain Falcon works fine for me when I weight the body(only the bust bone). Pikachu works fine but cracked spinal(already shown a picture of it few pages ago). Luigi is the same as usual 4 months ago.
Speaking of weegee, try to import Crash Bandicoot over Luigi. Sure that there's no t-pose PS1 Crash model, but try to edit the model by selecting a specific kind of faces and rotate it to 90 degrees. This works on my White Mage before as her arms on Mario Sports Mix is 45 degrees.

Ahh. Vancouver Winter Olympics 2009. Anyways, DS models are good. It may look like high poly, but technically no. Similar to the assist trophy models in Smash 3DS. Look like high poly but turns out have small poly count.Hey guys so I am gonna try to extract some models from an old ds game called mario and sonic at the olympic winter games I am just saying this because if this works out well this may be of some use to you guys especially the dry bones model.

These are just some of the models.
Hopefully they aren't too high poly.
