true, you never know until you try, but if you have fiddled around with this card at all you will notice that when you put software on it (not the FW, that is very different and only accesable via the GBA boot method) you will notice that you are not really accessing the FW when you are loading software, in fact, you are not loading the software. you are simply dumping it into the root of the card.there is no reason why, when the english PDA is released that it will not work on the Chinese card.

It's because the chinese market is always cheaper. Don't be too angry though, this has historically always been the case and is the reason for DVD player and games console region locking. Selling globally can cause currency, tax (and profit) problems between different countries.
it's pretty hard to find one... maybe you can find an user who has one to sell, but that's extremly difficult...
