Hacking Questions about N3DS XL Europe, the new tutorial and my old GW

I will buy a new N3DS XL with Pokemon sun (or moon). When I go through all the steps from here --> https://3ds.guide/ I come up with just the LumaCFW without Rednand. Do I need the Rednand with GW or is this obsolete, too?

If not, how can I obtain the rednand again.

What firmware are you on? Gatewait doesn't work on 11.3 and higher.
Steps to get EmuNAND are basically this.
Backup sysNAND.
Copy your microSD card to PC.
Format microSD card for EmuNAND using EmuNAND9 or GodMode9. (Gatewait does not support RedNAND.)
If your sysNAND is on higher firmware than 11.2, do a CTRNAND transfer on your EmuNAND or downgrade your EmuNAND.
Copy all your stuff back to microSD card.
Setup Gatewait.

Yes reinand and gateway isn't necessary. When you 3ds is <=11.3 (and when you don't update it it won't have 11.4 with a 100% chance) you can set up arm9loaderhax. Just follow the guide http://3ds.guide

My first step would be http://3ds.guide. After that I would like to create an emunand. Do I have to do all the steps again on http://3ds.guide . When I had my first 3DS I had the emunand prior to the armloaderhax. But that was when the http://3ds.guide was not "official" and the steps where much more than just these few there now.

You do the Guide, then make an EmuNAND. You can try to go through the Guide again if you want to waste time and be frustrated... Don't know why anyone would want to do that. Unless you screw up and wipe your a9lh by booting into Brickway on 11.3 or restoring NAND without preserving a9lh, there's no need to do the Guide again unless you get a new system.
