I tried out Breath of the Wild on the Wii U now and something seems really off about it.
The textures are extremely blurry and the Aliasing is horrible.
What is going on here?
Fair play for getting hold of it before release day. Im trying to get it early but I will no doubt will wait until Friday

@yusuo: please put those pictures in spoilers.

I will do later, she's stolen the tv back for now and don't worry, my images don't show anything, I'm only an hour in
I meant so i can compare them to mine.
installing update to nand now.
lets see if that makes any sort of difference.

Installing update to NAND now.
55% now.
I don't know how that could make much of a difference tho.

Look at this video.
Do you think ANY of the pictures look like the Wii U version there??

No, something is really wrong here.
It looks like all the HD textures are missing and all we have are low-res versions.

Zelda BotW was built to run on the WiiU originally but it's on the Switch where it was polished out and graphically improved. Zelda:BotW on the Switch is the "Pro" version (think of PS4 Pro-ness).

I'll be getting Zelda BotW on the WiiU but solely for collectible purposes.

You really think i wasn't aware of this?
Or how Nintendo purposefully delayed the releas eon the Wii U so had at least one proper title during the switch launch?

Good thing that I am going to stick to NS. Wii U is out of question and not for me. :P

Reminds me of tinkering with the texture load bias with Skyrim ENB. Playing Skyrim cell-shaded à la Windwaker style is pretty nifty. BotW has that vibe. I'm downloading the files myself right now, so in another couple hours or so, I'll hopefully be able to take a look for myself.

I am going to redownload.
Something possibly isn't right with my version.

The "pro" version? It has frame drops on tv mode... It can't even run at solid 30fps when docked .-.
