nds-bootstrap loader: Run commercial NDS backups from an SD Card

nds-bootstrap:

Thanks to the work of ahezard, Gericom, Apache, Robz8, _catcatcat, and shutterbug2000 and other contributors, we can now load NDS games from the SD card, without any flashcard/SLOT-1 card.

Don't expect high compatibility, but do expect many, many updates.

So Full hacks of Mario Kart Ds Fail to load for me except the ermii kart Ds demo and the original game, but hacks of the kiosk demo seem to run fine (only one of them loads), if it matters when running these hacks in Desume it gives a "the rom header is invalid" error before running the rom.

Will it work if i I do DS DOwnload play on 3DS To DSi ?
I don't think you get what's being developed here :P

This is a 3DS app that will let you run NDS ROMs straight from the SD card which is quite impossible to do right now without using a flash cart.

Some games work, so maybe some of them can use that funtion. I don't think they can atm, but maybe in near future.

@ahezard using latest unofficial from twloader (I think is commit 0a0b9cd) I get a recession. With official release Picros 3D show a "preparing" screen (don't know in english the exact message) and now is a white screen. Just telling if this helps you :P

You have to patch MMZX with the MCM method to make it save? I did so and I'm sure it worked, but it still doesn't detect the save (I will try checking it I just copied the wrong save though).

I just want to make sure it's not something to do with my specific ROM image of the game (though it should be fine...dumped it myself and have used it many times on flashcarts with no problems)...
Is Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow starting up but not loading most graphics for anyone else?

Well, I'm sure about that if it does indeed boot and load, but has graphic issues or the like, then it's because of the current state of the bootstrap (I have tried before Advance Wars DS in card.v2 IIRC, and it did boot but most gameplay graphics were pitch black, and that same game did work well in my flashcard). If it does not load at all, then it's just that it can't boot currently. It seems that you did try in a unofficial commit, since apparently it stays in white screen according to the (only for official releases) compat list.

I know compatibility has a way to go, I was just trying to make certain it wasn't just me since it's such a weird problem.
I'm using the current official release. :P I can actually get in game, but it's like what you're saying Advance Wars is doing for you...most graphics aren't loading. As for why I'm having different luck than some, I have no idea, but it is what it is.

So, I have 3 guesses for why it works for you:
1. You are using a different region that is not USA (in a nutshell, EUR)
2. The "white screen" could actually just been a bit of a long loading time
3. Something like the SM64DS case seems to happen, as before SM64DS did work in the bootstrap card.v2 (It even did for me), but it didn't for others. Currently it seems to work for everyone with the 0.1.0/0.2.0

oh, I probably should have said...it is indeed the US version. I don't know if this game has multiple revisions, but it's definitely the first rev if so (I bought this game as soon as it had come out). It does show a white screen at first, but that's just the Konami logo and such loading in with no graphics loading. :P

Yes do not use unofficial build, everything is broken for now. I am working on big changes to bring greater speed so it will take time to have something that works again. I am going to ask Robz8 to stop to build the unofficial build from card branch anyway. It should be builded from master since I merge there when I have something more or less stable.
