well changing region on the saves is diferent from changing region on the ios.

if you change an ntsc title id region to pla it wont make it use a pal save since the game itself has code to serch for the ntsc save id so your only option is to change the gci region wich i dont know but probably there is a way, changing the game id will never make it search for a diferent id save that is not how it works, since the game codding for the save function its still searching for the ntsc save anyway.

Yes and that i was talking about, probably i was misunderstood: the only reason to change a title id is in savegames.
I've changed a lot of saves from ntsc--->pal or from pal---> ntsc just editing the title id inside the gci file with an hex editor and they work flawlessly, trust me :)

Try giving this a read: http://hitmen.c02.at/files/yagcd/yagcd/index.html

It's old and not complete but interesting. ;)

Wow! It seems veeery interesting, thank you!

yes, if you edit the title header and change the region letter then nintendont wont know what region the game is for and will probably use the wrong videocode.
Nintendont used to use the game ID, but as of my recent PR (v4.428), it now uses bi2.bin. Changing the header won't affect the region code. (This fixes some prototype games with the RELSAB ID, e.g. the SADX preview.)

The actual value that needs to be changed is the u32 at 0x458, which can be 0 (Japan), 1 (USA), 2 (PAL), or 4 (South Korea; may be Wii only). I've also seen 3 on the Wii Menu Changer disc, which might indicate region-free. (On Wii, the value is located at 0x4E000.)

@pedro702 @GerbilSoft and @GreyWolf you were so kind with your answers on my boring and maybe stupid questions, then i would ask if you can help me with this too :)

I have 4 original GC controllers but the cable is short, so i need to buy a cable extender but right now i'm using the DS3 with a simple usb extender that works great so i would know if is possible to have the rumble.

I have to change something in the .ini files to enable rumble with dual shock 3?
In my .ini file (054C_0268.ini) that works great these lines are missing:
  • Rumble=
  • RumbleType=
  • RumbleDataLen=
  • RumbleDataOn=
  • RumbleDataOff=
  • RumbleTransferLen=
  • RumbleTransfers=
Should i add them and fill with something?

You can't use a Wii remote by itself as a controller. That's what the four lights means.

You need to either connect a a GameCube controller, Classic Controller (Pro), or a Wii U Pro controller. (Nunchuk+Remote might work as well.)

Also, v3.387 is out of date. Current release as of this post is v4.430.

why cant you? lol just go there change to off and change multi to off to by pressing A then press B and launch a agme to save your settings.
I changed the menu to prevent enabling Native Control on Wii U. Unfortunately, that also prevents you from turning it off if it's already on.

Solution is to delete nincfg.bin from the storage device and redo the settings.

@GerbilSoft Ok, so, excuse me if in the past days i made a lot of questions about video modes without any apparent reason. The thing is that in the past days some of my games that before worked well right now are not booting: it seems that with video mode set on "auto" or "none" Nintendont isn't able to detect the PAL video mode from them if they are converted in cISO (but detects them correctly if shrunked or fullsize) and the user must force them to PAL50/60 in order to boot them.

More detailed: these games need to be booted at 720x576i @50hz (PAL50) or 720x480i @60hz (PAL60).
The auto" or "none" options should load in PAL50, and then the user will be able to select the PAL60 In the compatible games with the ingame selector (or before the loading choosing the prpgressive patch if the game is compatible according to the compatibility list).

Nintendont try to load them at 720x480i (PAL60) resulting in a black screen (and most of the time with the loader stucked and the 4 lights of the wiiremote).
