there's a zip file with the IDs listed already.

no, and doing so would break the game (new quests wont show up until you legitimately complete the quests, anyway). use my blanked-out 100% complete save if you want everything unlocked (most important are moving over the correct gender and guild card ID - both found under the guild card settings in the editor)

I just wanted to let you know, there's some things missing (mostly decorations) where you need to take to a quest and deliver, for example, a Seregios Carver, for you to be able to create it. Not a big deal, but thought I'd let you know. If I find enough things I'll make you a list, but so far it's just some decorations and something else I forgot. Thanks for the save though, all that hard work is deeply appreciated!

Ok, if i import everything fine from my original character, i should not have problems going online etc? (i mean name not shown and thing wrote in the blank character post)

As-is, that blank character should be valid even without importing anything. You wont be able to send/view your guild card if you dont apply a valid guild card ID (easiest way is jsut use the ID from another save)
Oh and another thing.
I exported my palicoes in .catz file and imported in this blank file, but when i enter in game and go for select them it says that they're active and can't select, so i deleted them and recreated on the save editor exactly as they were, but again when i go to select them the game shuts down with an error. Why?
Fist, make sure you re-created all palico equipment in the equipment box EXACTLY HOW IT WAS IN YOUR LAST SAVE. Same item in the same slot. If you dont, the game can crash as the palico equip data is based on slot number and not item type.

To fix the cats, go back to your original save and unregister all active palicoes, export, then move them over. The reason the re-creations are crashing is that they have no equipped weapon. The easy fix is copy a different cat that does work (and wasnt active) and make it match the intended other cat. It will have the same weapon/equipment assigned to it as the cat it was copied from but you can reassign it a different weapon in-game later (having cats "share" an item slot like htis causes no side effects, though and the game treats it as perfectly valid)

Can anybody tell me how to fix PoogieP catz file, because when i import and equip weapon in right slot the cat has Health:100, Melee:1, Ranged:0 and Defense:1? Every other cat from "10 optimal palicos" is with normal stats except this one. I downloaded them from the first post link. Thanks :)

So, start off going here: http://smealum.github.io/3ds/

Download the Homebrew Starter Kit and unzip it into the root of your 3DS SD card. It will put a file in the root and make a 3DS folder with other stuff.
Remember to unzip the contents of the Starter folder, not the folder itself.

Also get JK's Save Manager: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-jks-savemanager-homebrew-cia-save-manager.413143/
Again, unzip it to the root and it will put everything where needed. Same as before, you want the contents, not the folder it's all in in the zip.

Assuming you're using Ocarina of Time, you need: https://github.com/yellows8/oot3dhax/releases

Now, put your OoT in your Powersaves and back up your save.
It goes in C:/Users/<Your User Name>/PowerSaves

On http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ use the Otherapp/robpin tool. Put in your system type (old or new) and the version. Hit download ropbin. It will give you a file, you don't need to save it, just keep it up for reference.
In the zip for the OoT hack, there will be a couple of folders with PowerSaves files. There's two sets, I used the bottom. You may have to try the other if it doesn't work. Go to the folder for the country your system is for, and in it find the file that matches the ropbin file that you have for reference.

Copy that file to the directory of your PowerSaves backups. Copy the name of the backup you had made, then delete/rename it, and paste the name as the new name for the file you grabbed from the OoT folder.
Then when you load up PowerSaves, you restore that file back to the cart.

Then, with your SD card back in your system, load up OoT on your 3DS. Hit A to get to the start, load up the hacked save, and when everything is loaded on screen in the game, hit A. This will boot the Homebrew.

Once in the Homebrew, put your MHG cart in, and go down the list to JK's save program. Select ExtraData, and export. Give it a name and export it.
Now you can pop your SD card in your computer, and run the MHG editor and just load up the exported file, which will be under the SD:/JKSV/ExtData/<Game Name>/<Save Name you choose>

Once you're done, save, then pop the SD back in and just do the same, except Import the extradata.

And you're done.

I don't get it can someone help me out? Why do I need OoT for MHGen powersaves? Do I need to go buy that or something? Nothing after that makes sense to me.

1. There is no Powersaves for MhGen. Only this save editor.
2. OoT is needed as an entry point for homebrew to extract your Mhgen savegame from the sdcard. You don't need to buy it if you have other entry points. Just search on Google for "homebrew 3DS", go on smea's site and look there. If that's too much work or you think you're too unskilled for that, youtube tutorials are your best friend.

Yeah after doing a bit of research I think I understand. I just couldn't think of a reason to use OoT for MHGen but now I get it. Thanks.

I've got a backup save with HR79 = 246015 HRP. Should be close enough ;)
Thanks, now just to be safe if I haven't unlocked Ukanlos/Akantor from HR60 and Amatsu from HR70 will boosting me to 79 then getting to 80 unlock all of them or will I have to go through HR59->60 then HR69->70 and finally HR79->80?

I'm not sure really, haven't tried it, but you can always go for it and make sure you have a backup to go to incase it doesn't have the intended results. 69 should be 200k HRP roughly and if I had to guess at the xp ramping, I'd say 59 should be 166k HRP.

PSA: Don't update to 11.2 unless you have an entry point you know for sure will work (there are a couple out there) unless, of course, you dont mind losing HBL access until your entry point(s) are updated

You should be able to just overshoot all of them to unlock them. There are plenty of people who jump straight to HR 200+ when completing the HR 7 Urgent and there are no repercussions (if there were, there'd be no way to fix them without starting a new character, which would be a stupid oversight on Capcom/etc.'s side).

This is a link to id for talismans. Make sure you follow the rules or they wont work.
To make a talismans, follow my steps.

For an example, this is my +10 attack/ +4 Teamplayer Talisman.
06 0007 00 00 00 0000 0000 0000 63 12 04 0A 03 00 47 01 0000

06- This is the item ID. 06 are talismans.
0007- This is the type of talisman. 0007 is Dragon and 0001 is Pawn.
63- This is the skill ID of the first skill of the talisman. 63 in this case is the skill "Team player".
12- This is the skill ID of the second skill of the talisman. 12 in this case is the skill "Attack up"
04- This is the amount of points in the first skill.
0A- This is the amount of points in the second skill. So there is 01 ,02 ,03 ,04 ,05 ,06 ,07 ,08 ,09 ,0A(10) ,0B(11) ,0C(12) ,0D(13) ,0E(14) . There is a value 10 but it is really means 15 so NEVER use 10 or higher.
03- This is the amount of slots in the talisman.

The last 47 and 01. I don't know what they do but ALL talismans must have them.

So to make your own talismans use this template.

0A 000B 00 00 00 0000 0000 0000 C D E F G 00 47 01 0000

A- Type of Item
B- Type of Talisman
C- First Skill
D- Second Skill
E- Points in first skill
F- Points in second skill
G- Amount of slots.

Just replace the letters will the value you want. Beware there are some limits like you cannot put Attack up on the first skill and has to be on the second skill etc.

Has anyone else gotten the crash using the physical copy of the game or know how to fix it? Particularly what happens is after I try to load up my save file, it freezes in the menu and the aborts and says "an error has occurred, restart required". It happened first after a mission and now happens anytime I start up the game but I haven't recently edited my files and this came out of nowhere. Can anyone help me?
