Hacking Trying to install Ninjhax without wifi using Sky3DS and a .sav file.

I want to do an offline install of Ninjhax (if such thing is even possible), since I don't have wifi.

I have a Sky3DS, and I have a "AQNP.SAV" from some post on gbatemp, saved from a 9.0 EUR New3DS (same as mine). Restoring the save to the Cubic Ninja ROM doesn't get Ninjhax going when I go to "Create -> QR Code".

Do I need the full ROM with the save file applied? Or is this not how Ninjhax works?

You will need a specific 1MB savegame for your Sky3DS (based on your model, f/w version and region).
After you write your eur rom to the Sky3DS using its software, you then "restore" that savegame to it.

That must be why it's not working. My save file is only 128 KB...

Is there a save game thread for Ninjhax on gbatemp? I though I saw one a while back.

Sorry, I'm browsing on a different browser with a different zoom level... I must have skipped it (I'm not used to the scrolling speed on this browser).

I tried that save. It didn't work. I though it was supposed to boot the "boot.3dsx" file from the root of the 3DS internal card. Apparently it does something else too... Has anyone managed to install Ninjhax offline before?

When I go to "Create -> QR Code" I'm simply presented with the normal in-game "Scan QR Code" and "Display QR Code" menu options. Ninjhax isn't booted.

Why is that?

I have boot.3dsx in the internal microSD root dir, the ROM is EUR, the save is EUR, the ROM is EUR, the console is EUR... DiskWriter doesn't complain when I right click the game and choose the "Restore Save" option (DiskWriter v1.6)... What am I missing?

If I scan the QR code image for "9.0.0-20E" (from smea's website) it crashes every time with the following error message: "An error has occurred, forcing the software to close. The system will now restart (Unsaved data may be lost.)"

You said you don't have Wifi, so scanning the image will be useless.
Maybe you didn't save the savegame properly.

Here's how I would do it:
Get rid of all your games on the top except Cubic Ninja (make sure it's 0019 - Cubic Ninja (EU)(M6) (CONTRAST) though).
Then do restore gamesave inside diskwriter.

You gotta futz with the Sky3DS a few times until it's working (press the blue button, eject, re-insert, etc such a pita)
If it's still not working, press the blue button again, try it.
If it still fails, try L+R+X+Y at the Cubic Ninja menu and wait for it to ask if you want to delete the savegame. Say yes and use diskwriter one more time and restore your savegame to the rom...

Thanks. Your advice helped. FWIW, here's what I did:

L+R+X+Y in the Cubic Ninja menu for a few seconds and chose "Yes" to delete all the saved data.
Quit the game.
Pressed the Blue Button, just in case it needs to write the save file (or the lack of one) from the microSD to the EEPROM.
Ejected the card.
Restored the 1MB save game using DiskWriter v1.6.
Booted the game, at which point the console froze before it can even show the "3DS" splashscreen (it never did this before).
Managed to turn it off somehow, after some serious butt clenching...
Booted the game.
Went to "Create -> QR Code".

...and it worked.

All of this after making sure that the "boot.3dsx" file is indeed on the root of the internal mSD card, else there wouldn't have been any point. Thanks again.

Can someone post the save for sky3ds the ninjhax 2.5 for 3ds 10.3.0.28U ? I tried to install here, but the QR Code does not open in cubic ninja. Thanks in advance !!!
