Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

I have a problem: used the Plailect guide, but cant upgrade from SYS 4.2.09U and cant play games or use FBI.
Any idea of what to do ?
Facts:
- my previous SysNand was 4.2.0-9U and my previous EMUnand was 9.0.0-20U, after the Plailect Move Emunand guide appear SYS 4.2.0-9U in settings (in other words, Luma appears to work fine);
- the system only boot with the SDcard (like Plailect said in the guide);
- used the Move Emunand guide (my previous CFW was RXtools);
- the cartridge game dont appear in the home menu;
- my Emunand icons from FBI, games etc appears in home but when I try to open the system say that "SD card was removed";
- can access Luma with Select (selected all 4 options in the guide) and Hourglass with start before boot;
Any idea of what to do ?

Hello guys, just got a japanese n3ds regular that's been region changed and have a9lh/luma3ds.
Firmware version was Sys 9.2.0-20U and after updating to Luma 6.3.1 it became Ver. 9.2.0-20U. Now the problems I'm having is I can't update the firmware through System Settings as it always get an Error has occurred, Unable to update. The system will now be restarted error. DNS is set to auto, if that helps. Can I somehow update it through sysupdater?
Another thing is that some games (particularly of those with higher firmware required, although DQ7 works) are stuck in loading, while others are not. Will updating system firmware fix this?

hello maam, just a suggestion, could you make pin entry being hidden like **** on luma?
or implement a new stage1/stage2 payload on arm9 that contains pin entry (like the 3dsafe, where the pin is injected to the nand, not on sd)
with the feature of no-sd-boot official release?

Thanks, but I cant install any CIA because FBI/BBM dont work.
If I put Sysdowngrader .3dsx and Sysdowngrader.smdh files in the root with the update paste in the root it will work ?
More important, Sysdowgrader can do a update only without downgrade and have chance of brick in my case ?

I just switched to Luma from GW, and I had a question. Does Clock+L2 still break some games? I have not had an issue yet but I was curious about it. I know it provides a nice performance boost, but if it breaks too much I was going to turn it off.

Thanks, but after I put the two files in the 3ds folder and the firmware in updates folder nothing happens in the home menu, dont appear a icon to start the Sysdowgrader....

Yes some games won't work properly. Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed seems to lock up when a vehicle transformation happens. The rest of the game seems to work fine, but it's unplayable because you can't complete any race.

Looking in the net I see that Homebrew launcher/Browserhax (smealum.github.io/3ds) dont work on 4.2 firmware like my case. This is correct ?

Cant believe that i need to fight the 3ds again with that run.bat and the damn devmenu who resist to be installed....
This is really my only choice ?
Talking about that, my 3DS can boot without LUMA in the SDCARD ?

Thanks, but I already used this guide to the Move Emunand step.
After that I cant use any browser exploit with my LUMA SYS 4.2.0-9U... I have my OTP.bin then a9lh looks alright,Luma stat alright, Hourglass start alright, 3ds boots only with the sdcard, then I dont know what is wrong.
Made a test now and even Decrypt9.dat dont work on browser now.
Any idea ?

Have you tried redoing the nand restore? Worst case you can use a 9.2 ctrnand transfer

Do you still have a backup of your emunand? If you do, rename it to NAND.bin and restore it to sysnand using hourglass9. After that update the sysnand through the system settings. From there use decrypt9 to dump your health and safety app to inject a new copy of FBI.
If you do not have a backup of your emunand make a backup of your sysnand and then update your sysnand to 11.1 using system settings. From there use decrypt9 to dump your health and safety app to inject a new copy of FBI.
If you already have a9lh and luma installed you do not have to use sysupdater or any other similar program.

I have too my Nand.bin backup, then what is the best option ?
Anyway, if I ctrtransfer a 9.2.20U nand I will need to do redo the downgrade thing to get again the OTP.bin or I can use the OTP that I already get ?

I have my NAND_emu.bin (988.807.168 bytes = 943 MiB), Nandmin.bin and OTP.bin backup, but the question is if after restoring the problem will persist or not...
No chance of brick with this restore stuff, right (I have luma and a9lh)?
Please, can you explain this ? I have a9lh and Luma working but I cant update the nand, nor cia and the FBI injection dont work too.

That error is probably because you don't have the aeskeys bin on your sd card.
Restoring the nand with hourglass9 should fix your issues unless your emunand itself is already corrupt.
You will still need the aeskeys bin on the root of your sd card for decrypt9 to work properly.
