I loved the giant screens for pretty much every single game I played on it from Pokemon to The Legend of Zelda! It was extremely comfortable to hold in my opinion so my hands didn't get as fatigued as they would have with the DS Lite.

I would say the XL, but that glossy finish on the back is a deal-breaker.

When I had the Dsi XL I got one of those protective clear skins around it to protect from scratches and a case I would put it in when I went out so I never really had to worry about the glossy finish gladly!

going back to old DS games using the superior form factor and comfort of the 2DS design is a blessing, no more hand cramps in GTA chinatown or tony hawk sk8land etc

Meh, I don't really care about the stretched out resolution or black bars, so I'll go with 3DS because all my games are there
