Homebrew [Release] CIAngel - download GOOD cias right on your 3ds :)

Was wondering if i was doing something wrong cause it takes alot longer to download on cia angel. but that being said its kinda cool. hope it gets a bit faster

Is this during install or download mode? What kind of 3DS do you have? What kind/class of SD card? How fast is your internet? How far are you from your router?

@Drakia @cearp will the unable to install cia be looked into ? it happens with Kirby Planet Robobot and NSMB2

You have no other posts in this thread, and no details about the error in your post, so it's unlikely...

This is basically what happens:
i get a big game, and it says installing content 1/2 which is normal. It then gets to 2/2 and complete it, but throws out "error could not install cia". Smaller content downloads fine

There has to be more output than just that.

Also, are you sure you have enough space? Is your wifi stable? Are you able to install the CIA using other CDN-based means? What type of 3DS? What firmware version? What CFW version?

yes. i have over 8GB left.

wifi is stable. tried close to the router

No. FBI CDN and FreeShop (eshop too) fail.

If freeShop, CIAngel, and FBI all fail it's an issue with your 3DS setup, not with the tools. Check that you aren't blocking CDN access (If it's downloading the full content, you probably aren't), maybe try backing up and formatting your SD card (Or try a different SD card). Otherwise, no idea how to fix it.

I'm not sure what to change though. smaller things such as updates install

Not the biggest deal, but is there a way to filter out non 3ds games?
For example I search for Mario and I come up with the gameboy version of super Mario land, some gba games, eshop ports ect.
I have most of those but remembering the title of Zelda a link between worlds as opposed to a link to the past especially when you can't see the whole title is a little frustrating.

Not that I can't grab my phone and google it...

It would also be cool just to be able to browse through 3ds games looking for gems that I may have missed.

The bottom screen contains the full game name

Wings.json doesn't have platform data, guess I could figure it out based on the serial, bah

Not running into this myself. I'd recommend deleting the wings.json file from the CIAngel folder, and re-downloading it within the app.

I just started to get this problem myself just now. Not looked into it yet but I applaud you for managing to capture a screen shop of the error as it goes so quickly on my N3DS lol

Edit: deleting the config file and wings.json file fixed the problem for me

Most likely caused by wings.json failing to download (Wifi drop, or server issue) and leading to a corrupt file.
