I am following Plaeilect's Tutorial.
I did backup my emuNAND and sysNAND but they are in different size.
emuNAND (988.807.168 bytes)
sysNAND (1.000.341.504 bytes)
Is that normal?

yeah i don't have that DNS
Could try going into Safe Mode and then exiting real quick, this is suppose to clear the download, and try again? Otherwise, no idea.

Perfectly normal. RedNAND will always be the smallest size possible.

hmm..it is strange.
On my first 3DS, I could not downgrade to v2.1 before but copying the firmware.bin from step 5 of Plailect's Tutorial into luma folder solved the problem.

Now, on my second 3DS, I tried first without copying the firmware.bin and as expected it fail.
Then I copy the firmware.bin.
Now I cannot boot into REDNAND, even if I delete the firmware.bin.

ANy suggestion?

Yeah Luma3DS automatically protects Firm0/1 writing so an update doesn't overwrite A9LH. You can just go to system settings -> system update. Do make sure your battery doesn't die during the update because that bricks 3DS's :P Just a warning!
Awesome, thank you! That's what I thought, but bcouldn't find any confirmation anywhere.

  1. Go back to the EmuNAND file options menu in Decrypt9 (If you have one)
  2. Backup EmuNAND to emuNAND.bin (If you have one)
  3. Go to the SysNAND file options menu on the main menu
  4. Backup SysNAND to sysNAND.bin
  5. Press Select on the main menu to eject your SD card
Im not getting these points. I try to backup my emunand.bin but its not working.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

it says sd is not formated for emunand backup!

please explain "its not working". if you mean you can't change the filename, use up/down to get to emuNAND.bin

try EmuNAND9: https://github.com/d0k3/EmuNAND9/releases/download/20160606/EmuNAND9-20160606-224510.zip

put EmuNAND9.dat at the root, go to http://dukesrg.github.io/?EmuNAND9.dat
