RedNAND is very similar to emuNAND, you can follow the guide and pretend it says emuNAND everywhere it says RedNAND.
You won't be able to use the DS profile exploit anymore, but after setting up a9lh you can set it up so it autoboots gateway or so it boots gateway by holding a button while pressing power.

So lets say if i do a region change:
-If i don't delete my NNID, would that affect me in something?

-Would affect me if that NNID is linked to a Wii U?

Yes, you won't be able to access eShop although there is many alternative things for doing so

I wouldn't think so, although if you're using a GW/Sky3DS use private headers online to prevent bans

How would I go about making a emuNAND along side Luma3DS + 'Updated' SysNAND A9LH just to be safe if anything happens? I plan maybe to change my region to JPN on one of the ds emuNAND too if that's possible I've heard

Ok, got it... Thanks, but do I need to clean the SD card, before setting up A9LH? I dont wanna use GW anymore. Do I need to format the Nintendo 3DS (o3ds sysNAND 4.4)?

Follow Plailect's guide. If you're worried about losing data, take a NAND backup first (if anything goes wrong you can always flash it back). I don't think you need to format your SD card but it certainly can't hurt (you can backup your data and put it back after format).

Does anyone know how to format an SD card, to be used with emunand, and set a cluster size of 128k? I have a 128gb and I would like to test cluster size speed with my card. I have already tested 32k (formatted by gateway launcher.dat ) and 64k (formatted by emunand9). Simply from the 32k to 64k I saw a 6 second cfwsysnand boot time increase, and a 5mb/s write speed increase. But I have not been able to find any utility that can format at 128kb cluster size and also add the emunand partition.
Does anyone know if an utility or maybe the steps to manually create a 2gb emunand with a 128k cluster size?

I haven't bothered with A9LH yet, but I've been perusing the guide and I got to a part that bothers me to some extent. It says that if I have made any TWL_Firm replacements I should restore the originals.

Well I've replaced these two iirc:

0004800F484E4841

0004013800000102

And I forget what else I did at the time for GBA compatibility. So if I've lost track of these things, is there a fool proof method to make sure everything is back to its original state? Worth noting that I've done these things to SysNAND & EmuNAND where applicable. Unfortunately it's been so long I simply don't remember everything.

Is it safe to use System Update with Luma and A9LH on sysNAND? I installed and old version of the browser to try the Pokemon QR generator for kicks but now want the current version back. I'm on 11.0.0-33 and it says there's a system update, because the browser of course. Can't find a cia anywhere, so would I lose my cfw or anything if I update? I honestly can't find the answer anywhere. Bought my 2ds already hacked so I didn't update it myself

Yeah Luma3DS automatically protects Firm0/1 writing so an update doesn't overwrite A9LH. You can just go to system settings -> system update. Do make sure your battery doesn't die during the update because that bricks 3DS's

Well once you get to the 2.1 downgrade part on your RedNAND//EmuNAND, PlaiSysUpdater will throw errors at you if you haven't undone everything. There's also OTPHelper that will verify your downgraded RedNAND//EmuNAND to make sure it's good. Those are basically your safety nets, especially since they will be done on RedNAND//EmuNAND.

So just undo most of what you do remember, and hopefully that should be enough.

Powersaves is a device that lets you inject or extract saves from your retail carts. In this manner, it helps by injecting a save file into ocarina that has the exploit necessary to boot in the homebrew launcher.

As for working on a 11.0 CFW, only time will tell. Currently IIRC they're just working on ensuring that A9LH is 100% foolproof and idiotproof.
