Alright, thanks again!
But how will i be able to redownload without being linked to my ID?
Is it somehow linked with my device?

PS: Do you ever sleep? ^^
Linked to console. You only lose it once you link an NNID and do a system transfer. Then you lose re-download rights on the old console for pre-installed games.

Offtopic: I am magic! I don't need sleep~! Okay.... Maybe power naps! Lol. :D

I have a question guys!
I've downgraded consoles from 10.7 to 9.2 but I'm getting a New 3ds with 9.4.0-21U
do older version have a lower chance of bricking when downgrading to 9.2?
Why would they, the procedure is the very same...

I know piracy talk is not allowed but could someone point me in the right direction and I'm not asking for files.
There is a certain site about this console and ISOs, you could google both and see what comes up.

Ok nice one!
Now i feel all save!
So i am going to work and then take a nights shift installing my cfw ^^
Hopefully it can be done in 4-5 hours with a 4gb card... read something about using bigger cards would be more efficient.
Read the complete tutorial three times yesterday and one time after breakfast.
If still something goes wrong you´ll hear the screams XD

PS: Really seems like magic to me ^^ if all works this evening you helped a lot! would have used the rxtool and who knows what else... XD

You can check this nice tutorial for SNES games injections (i.e. creating a .cia from a .sfc file). As for N64 games, they cannot be played on 3DS (yet?).

Not yet, you may as well wait for a stability update ;)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Question, actually - what is the difference between having screen init and no screen init? Also IPS screens and the other? Im not sure how to check what my consoles are

Stability matters to Nintendo yo.

As for your questions, screen init is that screen light up that you get for a second when you turn on your 3DS. The no screen init is more close to stock//vanilla, some people prefer that.

IPS and TN screens, are two different screen technologies. With IPS having better viewing angles and color reproduction, but you sacrifice response time, usually. While TNs, usually have better response time. Since we're not doing hardcore FPS gaming on the 3DS, it's better to have an IPS screen, also doubt Nintendo shelled out the money for good TN screens, so there's that too. Best way to tell is by the viewing angle. There's also this guide too:

So I followed everything on the Plailect A9LH guide and finished completely. I'm now in the promised land. I have one little trivial question at this point. The System Settings reads "Sys 11.0.0-33" and I realize that's the EmuNAND version. Is there any way to see what the actual version I'm running is? I know it's 9.2.0-20 but I just want to look at it for nothing else other than to look at the number. :P

If, as you say, you finished the whole tutorial, you have no EmuNAND/RedNAND (you removed that during Part 5 - Section V), but only SysNAND. That's why it is showing "Sys".

Well then I don't fully understand. I thought Sys 11.0 was an emulated version of the SysNAND that boots via Luma and that I'm still actually on 9.2.

No. With A9LH, there's no more a need to have an emulated SysNAND (so EmuNAND or RedNAND) since A9LH has access to the system before boot, thus we can flash SysNAND backups if anything goes wrong. That's why Plailect, in his guide, is flashing the EmuNAND/RedNAND to SysNAND after installing A9LH and deleting EmuNAND/RedNAND.

Luma3DS (the custom firmware) boots directly the patched SysNAND in your case.

I followed the guide too but i stoped before last finalising steps because i wanted to keep sysNand in 9.2 and use Emunand for everything that need an updated system.

Need confirmation but i think as long as you keep a sysNand_original.bin file (which is supposed to be 9.2 version) you can restore sysNand 9.2 (press start when booting)

Yeah, if the steps were followed correctly, sysnand_orginal.bin will be 9.2. You can restore it with Decrypt9 -> SysNAND Options -> SysNAND Backup/Restore Options -> NAND Restore (keep a9lh)
And you'll have your sysNAND at 9.2 with A9LH. You'll have to recreate emunand//rednand with Emunand9, and mess with the Luma3DS config settings to get it to autoboot emuNAND//redNAND.

You will already have a 9.2 backup. In the end you will have a SysNand.bin, Sysnand_original.bin and Sysnand_a9lhx.bin or whatever you called them.

You may run into problems using a 4GB card. You need to check before you back up any NANDs a) how much space they'll take up, b) how much free space you have, c) what files you can delete to make room, d) always be checking ahead in the guide to see if you'll have to back up any NANDs in the near future, so you can check at the times you have the SD in your computer (you can't just randomly pull out your SD card in the middle of things, usually). If you have to backup a NAND and run out of space, there's the potential for trouble. It will be stressful. I would recommend paying $5-$10 and getting an 8GB card.

I managed to do it with a 4GB card. When it came to the point where I had to make a sysNAND and an emuNAND backup at the same time I just had to eject the SD card and move the first one to my PC before making the second one.

Any help?
