i updated using starupdater cia but it doesnt load my animation when it turns on
Read the README, you need to create a /luma/update.cfg or it will overwrite your arm9loaderhax.bin
Maybe I should make a new thread for this, but I don't think it's important enough (just don't want to spam luma thread).
theres a lot of people that need help with the eshop updating thing and the animation too so please make one if you can so i can tell some friends about it too
IMHO, the updater is popular enough to have it's own thread. It often gets recommended here and on /r/3dshacks.
Then make a thread about both your nightlies/hourlies and your updater ? I think the link to the builds is just passed in every thread but it doesn't have its own so you could make a thread for these two "not important enough for a thread" things
i was trying to use gw offline loader , i kept getting a black screen (gw card would not boot.)
solved issue, the issue was i had formatted my sd to redNAND.
GW card seems to only be booting with emuNAND. so keep in mind to format your SD's to emuNAND in case you have a GW card and would like to use it.

Alternatively, if a nice GUI is what you'd like, Geany on Linux is a fantastic Notepad++ alternative. I used it a lot on arch, Debian and Ubuntu back in the day.

Fun Fact; When you have an EmuNand and view SD partitions via EmuNAND9, you see 'GW EmuNAND'
just convert it to EmuNand
