i can confirm that the error updading could be related to reinand 4.0 on o3ds; i have been able to update all games launching emunand through gateway red card; now i have 'an error occurred reboot consolle' when i try to play super smash bros on reinand, no error through gateway (same cia backup on same emunand)

thanks all

As Rei noted, there's always a tradeoff. Here, removal of the FAT write capability prevents logging to SD card. Very useful if you can't see the screen or control the LEDs.

Basically it prevents him and users from debugging.

Which is why you make a debug build for Devs and a Compilation build for the Userbase he releases too.
Thats how easy this tradeoff can be fixed

You could even use the same source and have a compile flag enable it.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but is there a button you can hold for ReiNand's settings menu? Does it even have a settings menu?

You always have to measure pros and cons though. Reinand wasn't exactly in need of optimization. The space savings would have been great a decade ago when 32mb of flash memory was a big deal. I'm glad this isn't the 2000s.

Are you using a DNS to block Nintendo updates (such as Tubehax)?
nope, but i could check, because i have used dns when doing custom monster hunter stuff. i'll check and get back to you on that.

Are you blocking any of the Nintendo servers through your router?
